"Even if Trump goes away, the idea is gonna remain"I cannot agree with the implication that the idea will remain and be effective. How effective is the Tea Party right now. The name and the Tea Party idea remain, but it is ineffective. Trump is needed in order to give the unbending leadership that the Tea Party lacked. Maybe he is the Born Again Tea party.
Am not thinking about any "tea party", that's not even on my radar. What's going on now transcends and exceeds that, which is exactly what needs to happen. People who were not involved, didn't care for or even opposed tea party activities have gotten animated. People across multiple demographics are waking up to the fact that no one responds to them, represents them, cares a fig about even listening and are concluding that they are being ruled over, not represented. The "tea party" is essentially worthless unless their message, the
idea, makes the transition to the whole constituency of America. Such things happen painfully slow, if they happen at all. There's been a slow burn for years, now we're witnessing a leap forward in the process, prompted by an unexpected messenger.
