We have a Battle Flag of Virginia flying on the flagpole in front of our house not because we’re racist but because we can.
We never cared about it until we were told we weren’t supposed to have one. Now it represents freedom and ‘sticking it to The (liberal) Man’.
(-:
I flew my Confederate Battle Flag today, August 28, 1862 the first day of the Second Manassas. My gg grandfather was in the Georgia 21st Infantry. They had a real bad day, lost 76% of their effectives that afternoon and made a list in a history book, but held their ground and position. They served under General Thomas Jackson.
