Trump could return to his recent positions on abortion, gun control, open borders, support for Democrats and their economic policies and it wouldn’t faze his supporters one bit.

I don't think he will return because I don't believe he ever left. And you are correct, some will support him no matter how liberal you or I prove him to be.
