The difference between allowing people to go nude in a club, if they want to, and allowing it in Times Square is that there are little kids coming through Times Square! Do we really want to expose kids to this?

It's different if you're an adult.

I've always thought that the appropriate penalty for things like this would be to erect a pillory in the public square, paint their organs red with a very long brush and force them to stand there for at least a day.

They wanted exposure; they get exposure.
