Drop one bomb after another at the entrances.
It should have been done before Bush left office. I’m afraid it’s going to be too late for all that by the time Obama is gone.
Fifteen years? They're dashing towards a weapon NOW and the Obama-Kerry capitulation is only going to make things easier for them.
Agreed 200%. See this very authoritative article:
Scary stuff, to say the least.
You don’t destroy the bunkers. You destroy the leadership. Find out where the Mullahs are meeting and that’s the place that gets destroyed.
After that, the entire funeral procession and the mullahs supporters get daisy cut. The people of Iran will do the rest.
And that’s how you destroy Iran’s nuke program.
>> My guess is that Israel would first stage an EMP attack and knock out the Iranian power grid <<
Good idea. And the same EMP should knock out most communications links at the same time.
But let’s pray that the Israelis have developed a non-nuclear alternative for generating EMP. As much as I support Israel, I hope against hope that nukes would never need to be used.
GBU-28’s are not designed to truly penetrate to attack deeply buried hard targets like the Iranians have with their nuke facilities.
Only the B-52 and B-2 can carry the MOP.
See Post 3 and 27.
GBU-28 and the MOP (GBU-57) are different weapons. . .and the reports are about the GBU-57, not GBU-28.
Close but the GBU-57 has a penetration capability that is extraordinary, and using a double-drop metod, one pentrates deeply and the second drops down that hole and penetrates (counting floors as it passes through them), then explodes at the right depth. The GBU-57 is quite capable.
And even if the depth is too much, all one need to is penetrate deeply and collapse the entry-exit points and trap the facility (and people). They all die.
