That interview was a disaster for Ramos, on that we would likely enough agree.

What Cruz did was kick Ramos hinder-parts, without needing to have left his own chair to do it.

When opportunity to do so presented itself ---

the interview apparently was agreed to by Cruz, himself thinking (or allowed to have thought?) that the interview would be as form of follow-up addition to previous interviews he's had with Jorge, and as something of an aside to his own presently seeking the Republican nomination for President, it would be chiefly about a book he had recently written and published

---- Hore-Hay began that interview by-passing discussion of Cruz's book altogether (Cruz alone making mention of it), and right off the bat attempted to demonize his guest (Cruz) in the eyes of his Latino & Fusion Network audience, identifying Cruz as enemy of unfettered illegal immigration of 'Latinos' into the USA.

Cruz was ready for that weak argument, and after repeatedly kicking Ramos in the ass, then gently took Ramos's head off, and politely handed it to him, doing so right in front anyone who would be watching that particular episode.

Oh, the horror ---of daring stand for rule of law.

English speaking Latinos would likely enough see what occurred if they were tuned into that show, provided they were paying attention, and were actually listening.

Enough of them would have... and I would think (or rather, hope?) more than the 40% of them who supported Cruz in the last election for Senator of the State of Texas, would have seen how weak Ramos's argument really was. Ramos, repeatedly interrupting Cruz, did touch upon most of the the usual shallow talking points of the pro-invader, (and still technically illegal) pro-unfettered immigration apologists.

If more Latinos could but hear Cruz directly, I do believe they may realize Cruz deserves some amount of re-appraisal, since I get the idea there are a great many potential voters who don't know much of Cruz, other than what the media elites have been editorializing & spinning about Cruz, and therefor may need to be woken up.

I'll wager a guess that Fusion may not want Ramos to be the one to interview Cruz again, if they can help it.

Ramos going after Trump was part of the ongoing attempt (not needing to always be explicitly explained to the media) to paint conservatives as racist anti-Latino.

Ramos making an ass of himself, interrupting another reporter who had been called on, keeping up the interruption until being escorted out of the room, was all a part of that ongoing effort to demonize Republican candidates for sake of the DemoCommieRat Party, proof for that being most all the follow-up headlines and discussion here and there elsewhere in electronic media that focus upon Jorge being escorted out, yet neglect to make even slight mention that Hore-Hay was allowed back in some time later, and eventually given more of a one-on-one opportunity than the rest of the media that were present. Yet still Hore-Hay acts as if the later attempt at grilling Trump which was provided to himself EVEN AFTER having been escorted out for being something of an ass --- never happened.

Whether significantly large portions of the the media take the lines they do by instruction and direction, or else are more organically, simply useful idiots (which includes Hore-Hay, of course) I do not have enough information to more accurately assess, but from what I know of human nature, Ramos may have been trying to recover from the Cruz interview, which going by the supplied notations at the youtube video, was published on youtube by Fusion, July 2, 2015.

What we are all still up against though, is the DemoMedia machine.
