What about all the poor schlubs who do not and did not even attempt college because they knew they could not aford it and/or they could not get FAFSA financial aide because their parents maybe “made too much” (and did not wich to help the kid with school anyway)? In other words “Middle Class”? Will they get reparations?

The whole time Obama has been in office he has been pandering to the deadbeats and “youth” implying that he would either forgive all student loans or even do away with tuition. As a result many of them run up unlimited debt, do not even start to pay their loans back, and try to wait out the period within which the government may try to collect.

It is just another huge wedge to drives between different classes of American people!

My take is different, although there is a rich/poor giveaway slant to the proposal. The thing I'd focus on is Jeb's "new" idea that if someone doesn't graduate in four years, it's the college's fault. I think Jeb got his inspiration for this from recent medical initiatives under Obama to introduce "outcomes based payments." So much for a bypass, so much for treatment of a particular type of disease. The hospital gets to allocate the total, giving it an incentive to cut corners (not that the current situation doesn't encourage piling on of costs).

So, here, it is the college's job to get someone a degree in four years. What will happen? A whole new class of slacker, ignorant students will get meaningless four year degrees so the colleges won't have to pay penalties.

Stupid, stupid, stupid.
