Melissa Perry-Harris: "The thing we have to remember, is we can't just judge Vester Flanagan. We can't. He's a black man who faced a lot of stereotyping, a lot of racism. He had a lot of justified anger. And, seriously, what is the death of two privileged white people when we look at all the millions of black people killed every hour? We should pull together. We should honor Vester's struggles. We should scorn the culture of whiteness that has driven our proud young men to extremes."
