Two staggering points:
- with welfare, total income is a nearly flat ~$63,000/yr for wages $8.25-15/hr
- for just $3/hr more, lose 30% of total income.

No wonder there’s such fierce defense & promotion of welfare. Like the opposition to voter ID, the arguments presented are irrelevant - a whole lotta wealth/power rides on keeping the system broken as-is.

I have a simple solution.

If you collect welfare, you are ineligible to vote.
