I don’t disagree with that per se - but my point has been all along that he has liberal reflexes built up over 65 years and they’re not gone. It is the liberal reflex to say “it’s the law of the land” - so forget it. It was a liberal reflex coming through.
Words mean things. Phraseology is a pretty good indicator. Like his Planned Parenthood funding gaffe - a liberal reflex coming out. Ignore at your own peril.
I don’t ignore it but I do sometimes question what good it does to elect candidates that talk right and do nothing. Take abortion for an example, for 40 years there has been a litmus test for conservatives to be staunchly anti abortion. What good has that done us? We have one of the most barbaric abortion regimes in the world. There are many hard left, godless countries in Europe that have more humane abortion laws than we do. Our “conservatives” have been talking a good game and raising money to stop abortion for over 40 years now and have done almost nothing. Even Reagan did basically nothing but talk about it. I am tired of “conservative” candidates that talk right and do nothing. Maybe one that actually tells me he does not think he can do anything about it won’t disappoint me when he keeps his word.
