Then her 'performance' tonight would have really raised your blood pressure. Your assessment of her is spot on, and I am in complete agreement. I used to like her too. On some subjects she can really raise a very compelling argument. Maybe she is just following orders and that's why her tactics related to Trump are so shallow and transparent.
Maybe that's possible. But she doesn't strike me as someone who meekly follows orders that she doesn't agree with.
I think we just saw a classic case of someone whose success inflated their pride and fell into the "Hey! Look at me! I'm the greatest in the World!" trap. It's always when you start showing off that you end up falling on your behind.
