Uh, under existing law the kids are US citizens. We can't legally deport US citizens.

Obviously we don't deport U.S. citizens. We would be deporting their parents. The parents would have to make the decision to take their children, put them up for adoption or hand them over to someone else.

I would think most would want their children with them. Either way the parents must be deported.

The parents must be deported?

And how is President Trump going to accomplish this?

If the children are deemed US Citizens, then you know as well as I do that the ACLU will step in on the child’s behalf and try to get the courts to halt deportations on some liberal basis, that the Courts will agree using no originalist logic whatsoever, and it’ll go right up to the SCOTUS where Anthony Kennedy and his 4 liberal buddies will put an interpretation into the 14th Amendment we know doesn’t exist but all of a sudden will and that it will be deemed cruel and unusual to separate the child from the parents and instead of deporting the child, the parents will be allowed to stay. Of course, while all this is being litigated there will be a stay on all related deportations meaning nothing will happen.

2 ways to fix this: Constitutional Amendment or New Congressional Law that’s strong enough to withstand a court challenge. Absent that, nothing is going to change.
