Cruz is not afraid to answer the question. He’s setting a precedent by not playing the game the media wants to play. Which is to ask questions intended to corner the conservative position and portray them according to the left’s narrative.
Hence every question about illegals is “what about the children” and every question about abortion is “what about rape and incest” and every question about the minimum wage is about the “man/woman trying to support his/her family on $7.00/hr”.
The only way to win this game is to make it clear that you won’t play by their rules. That’s not being weak, that is being strong and setting your agenda instead of following the media’s.
We will have to agree to disagree.
I wanted to hear Cruz's answer to that question. Most Americans want to know what the politicians would do.
The singular reason Trump is so far ahead is that he is strong on the issue of illegal immigration. Cruz had the perfect opportunity to be bold and take a stand. His support would most likely have increase dramatically. Instead, he wimped out and gave a pathetically weak answer.
Playing the media games? That is really a bit cliche. He gave the answer he gave because deep inside I don't think he wants to deport anyone.
