Ted Cruz TRUMPS Megyn Kelly on unfair question, says ‘I’m not playing the media’s game’
The Right Scoop ^ | 8/25/15 | staff

Posted on 08/25/2015 7:14:01 PM PDT by VinL

Ted Cruz was asked tonight the same question BillO asked Trump last night, if he would deport two illegal parents who have children that are American Citizens. But Cruz refused to answer it the way Megyn Kelly wanted him to. She accused him of dodging the question, but Cruz responded that the question that she and other mainstream media journalists want to ask is a distraction from actually fixing the problem of illegal immigration and then explained how to fix it.

It was awesome.

Cruz was a big disappointment tonight. Billo slammed Trump on it, and Trump held firm.

Trump fielded 7 tough questions from Jorge Ramos today on the same subject and handled it with aplomb...

Univision Reporter Tries to Interrupt Donald Trump at Press Conference …INSTANTLY Regrets It

Why can't Cruz just do THAT? Impressive, and Donald stayed cool and in total control, and unlike Cruz, his vooice didn't crack 8 times. I expected Ted to reach for some aqua, Marco-style.

That’s why Trump needs Cruz, to be point man for bringing the SCOTUS to heel. Ted has already spoken of the need to rein in the SCOTUS and there are several means for doing so.

SCOTUS is not invincible, just ask Obama.

And SCOTUS won’t get the case until at least 2019 at which time the wall will be going up and an enhanced Border Control will have orders to shoot to kill.

There’s a ‘tone’ change coming.

I’m not worried.

Trump and Cruz are dangerous to the two-headed hydra, (Republicans for cheap labor, Democrats for new voters).

Trump and Cruz are speaking the words Americans have been screaming at their tvs for six years.

Hillary sinks and cannot be saved by Sandersaurus or Joe & Faux.

The winged monkeys of the media are brushed off, flies sent back to cow pies.

Hope and Change is docking at Elmhurst--oh, the humanity.

I agree catfish...he is for himself and Big Fat ego! He is bringing up good questions but no way do I want him as President. Some of his followers here are not thinking long term. He never brings up how he will work with Congress and the House.... Just I, I, I. Remind you of anyone?

Incredible seeing all the slander of who may be the strongest most principled conservative since Reagan. The Trumpets have all been hoodwinked by the PT Barnum in politics, and allowed a trojan horse in our camp.

One poor misguided poster earlier complained that Cruz goes too much "by the book", ......well he would likely respond that that book is the constitution, and not going by the book is half our problem today anyway.

Trump changes as the misc candidates drop out and his gap in the polls begins to close. As the race for the nomination tightens he’ll become a poll watcher and start modulating his answers to questions. In the end, he’ll be talking just like the centrist Democrat that he is. He’ll eventually contradict everything he’s saying right now that the red-meat eaters are loving. Watch and see it happen.

The only reason he’s different right now is he can afford to be. But at heart his policy views are more malleable than any other candidate in the race. I’m telling you this is going to happen. A year from now this Trump-mania will be studied by sociologists as an episode in the recurrent madness of crowds.

Megyn Kelly is asking these candidates tough, fair questions that they’re dodging. She’ll be looked upon (by right and left) as the star of this political season, and will collect awards like trinkets. It’s amusing to watch the right wing castigate reporters for asking “gotcha” questions of the men they praise for being tough guys. Trump is a 12 year old boy who is mad at a girl.

My hope is that the GOP nominates the candidate who is the most conservative at heart. There are a few people in this race who actually believe in limited government and Donald Trump is not, has not been, never will be one of them.

All the rest is delusion, destined to pass.

“...immigrants were welcome and no one worried about their children becoming citizens.”

You need to do some checking up on American history. Americans were historically very careful about immigration. That is why there was no immigration between about 1920 and 1965. The time when immigration was at a high-water mark only involved a few million, and they had to have papers.
Many were sent back.

Immigrants in the early 20th century had to also have a sponsor who would be financially responsible for them.

There was no welfare, housing, medical, food stamps-etc.

The name and address of the sponsor was right on the ship’s manifest.

When Fox News had its debut in 1996, it was like a great blast of fresh air to hear views from conservatives. Since about 2006 Fox News continued a steady rise in ratings and as a result decided it could advance its liberal stable to higher rated segments while pushing its more conservative presenters to the back. I have to admit Hannity grows tiresome and Huckabee is not a big draw. But Ailes could have found talent to recruit and promote, however he failed to do so, opting instead to promote those who sneak in more liberal elements of view. O'Reilly notably swung hard left on many occasions and was so disgusting I quit viewing him years ago.

There are many problems today with Fox News but a few are notable: (1) They are owned by an Australian billionaire socialist, (2) they've gone over to full throttle PC (I stopped watching them years ago and only occasionally bring up a YouTube clip of them when prompted by headlines on Breitbart or Freerepublic), (3) Their network is no longer in depth and (4) they've gone increasingly tabloid to sustain their ratings.

Enter Breitbart TV (http://www.breitbart.com/video) and One America News Network (OAN).

About One America News Network (“OAN”)

One America News Network offers 21 hours of live news coverage plus two one-hour political talk shows, namely The Daily Ledger and On Point. While other emerging and established cable news networks offer multiple hours of live news coverage, only OAN can claim to consistently provide 21 hours of live coverage every weekday. Third party viewership data for Q2 2015 from Rentrak, namely accumulated viewer hours, shows that OAN surpasses other news channels such as Al Jazeera America, Fusion, Fox Business News, and Bloomberg TV as measured on AT&T U-verse TV, across 65 markets.

Since its debut on July 4, 2013, One America News Network has grown its distribution to over 12 million households with carriage by AT&T U-Verse TV (ch 208/1208 in HD), Verizon FiOS TV (ch 116/616 in HD), GCI Cable, Frontier Communications, CenturyLink PRISM TV (ch 208/1208 in HD), Consolidated Communications, Duncan Cable, GVTC, and numerous additional video providers. One America News Network operates production studios and news bureaus in California and Washington, DC. For more information on One America News Network, please visit www.OANN.com.

OAN is owned by Herring Networks Inc. which is family owned and operated. The President of OAN is Charles Herring:

https://www.linkedin.com/in/charlesherring

Charles is in San Diego which was to me many years ago a bastion of conservatism but I don't know about now. Charles has a background in manufacturing electronics with a degree in chemistry which in my view is great because it means he's tuned in with Donald Trump's priority to bring manufacturing back to the USA. I don't know who financed him for OAN but Herring Networks is said to be family owned and operated so maybe he inherited wealth which in my view can be a big plus because it means he can remain independent of the media mogul sharks like Murdoch who might try to buy him out just to shut him up.

There is one downside to OAN and that is Americans are abandoning cable in droves and opting for internet streaming providers instead. However, given OAN's background with its owner, I'm sure they are aware and are likely engaged in creating a broad streaming presence.

“It also demonstrates the coordinated and failing effort by Fox News to take down Trump and Cruz in order to promote the sure-to-lose RINOs.”

The way things are going, we will not get Trump or Cruz. It won't be because of FOX, it will be because of us buying into the game being played.

We are going to get amnesty shoved up our behind because we are too weak to stick with a fighter. The fighter doesn't come off as sensitive enough or what we believe to be “Presidential”

When Trump and Cruz are out, will the candidate make any difference?

Enjoy the 2016 RINO AMNESTY PIMP GRAB BAG ....or maybe we should call it a pinata.

The first step in being “subject to the jurisdiction” is obeying the laws of immigration; which in this case means, get in line and obey the laws. Break that one, and everything that follows is done illegally.

That’s why opening a path to citizenship for illegals is totally wrong. They broke the law by crashing the border. Therefore, any action to provide them special favor and shortcuts to citizenship without them first becoming Naturalized, and showing genuine intentions of assimilating and becoming Americans by culture, is an outrage against the millions of others who followed the rules and came here legally.

Americans were historically very careful about immigration. That is why there was no immigration between about 1920 and 1965.

We're talking about 1862. We had just passed the Homestead Act and were happy to have immigrants come to settle the West. There wasn't any such thing as illegal immigration except for slaves who were smuggled in.

We had over 25 million immigrants during the "Great Wave" from 1880 to 1924. The first quotas weren't passed until 1921.

It was a different time in our history and you can't project today's problems onto the circumstances of drafting the 14th.

“It was a different time in our history and you can’t project today’s problems onto the circumstances of drafting the 14th.”

The 14th amendment was to protect former slaves only, as per the drafters of the amendment.

Today’s problem involves an anchor baby being born every 90 seconds.
