Whatever his gameplan might be, in an obvious effort to reignite his public feud with Megyn Kelly, Trump lit into the Fox News anchor Monday night. Tuesday afternoon, Fox News chief Roger Ailed fired back with a statement that called Trumps attack disturbing. He also called on Trump to apologize:
Donald Trumps surprise and unprovoked attack on Megyn Kelly during her show last night is as unacceptable as it is disturbing. Megyn Kelly represents the very best of American journalism and all of us at FOX News Channel reject the crude and irresponsible attempts to suggest otherwise.
I could not be more proud of Megyn for her professionalism and class in the face of all of Mr. Trumps verbal assaults. Her questioning of Mr. Trump at the debate was tough but fair, and I fully support her as she continues to ask the probing and challenging questions that all presidential candidates may find difficult to answer.
Donald Trump rarely apologizes, although in this case, he should. We have never been deterred by politicians or anyone else attacking us for doing our job, much less allowed ourselves to be bullied by anyone and were certainly not going to start now. All of our journalists will continue to report in the fair and balanced way that has made FOX News Channel the number one news network in the industry.

And remember my prediction, in January 2017, Trump divorces his wife, marries Megyn, Cruz best man, and Hilary (on release from prison) is Matron of Honor.
There may be something beneath the surface like Roger Ailes promising that Megyn Kelly would come out after her vacation to say that she used faulty research for her first question and that was wrong. No apology, but an acknowledgement.
But alas, Kelly came on last night oozing wide-eyed devotion to Dr. Ben Carson in a feature interview. Likely Trump probably noticed there were no future booking requests from the Kelly File talent bookers either.
I have to say that she didnt look rested or sun-kissed from a family vacation at the shore. She looked like she had been held in detention. Even though I like Dr. Carson, I cant watch her after she showed her true face, which is blind ambition.
No professional talks that fast or much.
It's like being in the kitchen with the 2-year-old playing drums with the pots and pans. Arrrrhh
Like I said on another thread Megan looked tired, haggard, drawn, sunken eyed and skinny. Not like you would expect after a 2 week vacation
I don’t see any “QUOTES” in Roger’s alleged statements.
I doubt Murdock and Kelly care much what Trump tweets other than parlay this into better ratings for themselves, but that may backfire on them.
“Fair.” Treating people like crap but the same isn’t fair. Kelly, nor her two interviewers were “fair” to the candidates. They were rude and obnoxious and got what they deserved.
Fair... um, no.
But when Trump shows up on Fox the ratings do soar. :-)
Has any one found the transcript of last nights show. Or better yet the video. It was my understanding Megyn set up the attacks with questions to her rehearsed puppets and then smirked as they did her dirty work.
Those looking this morning could not find it
Say what you want about Megyn vs. OAN, but the OAN folks need some more seasoning before they are ready for primetime.
I think I’ve seen this bottle blonde in action, and it’s doubtful she could string 2 sentences together without a teleprompter, as she can barely do it with one.
Maybe it’s time to hire for competence not looks.
Trumpophobes all.
Trump stays in the press and Ailes/Kelly get viewership.
In The Art of the Deal, Trump talks about how all press is good press in his business because ultimately people will separate the theater from the product.
Trump's properties are 5-star and his hilarious public performances never seem to taint them.
Seems like the same thing is happening here.
Did you know that Trump sang the theme song from Green Acres at the Emmy Awards.
Many pundits on Fox were saying that Trump had peaked. Looks like Fox has peaked instead.
You describe what sounds like a two week drunken binge.
BTW - I have *honestly* never watched FNN. FReepers say it’s way too liberal. Took their advice.
Tomi is no longer with OAN.
As a side note, she was on Fox & Friends last Friday and tweeted she will soon begin a new chapter in her life.
Sarah Palin is filling in this week and my understanding there will be rotating hosts until a permanent replacement is found.
HaHaHaHaHa!
That’s very funny!
I think the feud with Kelly is real.
She’s a nasty one with an ego that matches his.
