Many businessman are successful without giving money to the Dems.

Not real estate developers in liberal cities. That's a cost of doing business.

I have had many clients who are real estate developers and if they didn't grease the palms of local pols, they might as well close up shop.

Why would you go into a line of work or a business that requires you to abandon your principles?

Answer: Because you have no principles.

Exactly. That is the cost of doing business in a liberal city, state or states.

Look. I get this. I live in L.A. Like NYC, a one-party town where the GOP is effectively extinct now. I can understand why Republican developers might find it to their interests to write some checks to LOCAL Dem politicians to help get a project done.

THIS DOES NOT EXCUSE DT FROM WRITING TO CHECKS TO HRC, REID, AND PELOSI. NOT NECESSARY. By giving to the DCCC and DSCC, DT helped bring the Dems to power in 2006 in Congress. No excuse for this whatsoever. And I’m sick and tired of DT’s fanatical supporters trying to sugar coat this. DT is a populist, not a conservative. Big difference. He goes whichever way the wind is blowing. Since DT is currently seeking the GOP nomination, he has positioned himself slightly to the right of Atilla the Hun right now. Assuming DT wins the GOP nomination, he will move aggressively to the center. He is a nominal Republican and not much of a conservative.
