I'd like to see how far he can go, but he's going to have to up his game significantly if he wants to go the distance.
Trump's candidacy shouldn't be about ego and personal vendettas. It should be about policies which are needed to "make America great again".
IMHO, Trump's appeal could be much wider if he was a little more thoughtful.
Trump will eventually falter if he doesn't start taking his candidacy more seriously, and stop being petty.
I've been in the Cruz camp for the most part, despite my reservations about some of his positions, but I've also been a fan of Trump here in the early going.
But as I've said, despite Trump's appeal, if he wants to win anything more than the GOP nomination, he's flat out going to have to clean up his act. People will overlook his idiosyncrasies to a certain point, but if he continues to come off as mean-spirited, his appeal will definitely fade.
It's time for Trump to realize that a Presidential candidacy isn't just a one-man show. He needs to start surrounding himself with people who can give him good advice and help him soften his image, because he's just coming off as too harsh in some instances, and he can't keep doing that if he wants to win the general election. Winning the GOP nomination is only the first step.
I think this whole twitter spat with Megyn Kelly is a publicity stunt for his next appearance on her show.
Watch. It’s just free publcity for the Richest celebrity candidate Trump, every day, night after night. Yep.
Trump, Trump , Trump until the ratings start to slip.
Is it sustainable?
Everything you say makes sense, but I have no opinion, no prognostication, on what will unfold, nor how it will unfold. The times we are in are are utterly chaotic, without parallel in the previous century. Trump’s fortune can withstand the onslaught of the Soros-Spielberg-GOPe-Wall Street juggernaut, which is why he is riding high. Is it specifically him, and nobody else, who can defeat them just now? I think that a possibility. Is he a Constitutional Conservative statesman in the mold of the great men of our Republic, or even like Cruz appears to be? It doesn’t appear so. Yet the lingering, over-riding question that won’t go away is this: If Trump were not in the race, what would stop the ESTABLISHMENT?
