25% in a field of 17 candidates is serious numbers. You can understand that can you?
In a field of 17 candidates, a 20% vote will win, if all the votes split, and in Florida, a winner take all state, the 20% vote will win 100% of the delegates.
This is why so many with so little chance, stay in the race. To siphon even 1% help the GOPe immensely, if that 1% would go to a conservative alternative.
The losers need to get out.
Its now 32%.
I understand that, yes. I also understand that it doesn’t get him across the line (or really close to it), so he’ll need to pick up votes that currently support others. Whether he has a ceiling, and if so how high it is, is an open question. I happen to think he peaks well below where he will need to be to win the nomination, but I could be wrong, things could change, etc.
