No matter what happens to Trump, if the Republicans start playing dirty like this with him, the party will never hold power again. Nor will they even be a substantial minority in Congress. It’s a suicidal move.
So Trump holds the party hostage by refusing to swear off a third party run if he’s allowed to run as a GOP candidate, and the people trying to ensure that he’s sincere about running as a Republican are the ones playing dirty.
We see what we want to see when it comes to Trump. The man is running the biggest political con game of all time. I’m still not convinced he’s in it for Hillary. After all, he has so far had little bad to say about her. Compare his treatment of Hillary to Fiorina’s for example.
