There is a silver lining to all of this.
We all know the pendulum will swing.
And when it does, it will swing hard.
Very hard.
And when it does, it will swing hard.
There has been an irreparable breach, though. Never before in history has it been recognized by a society that a man can marry a man. The breach we've seen in the past decade cannot be undone, or become unknown by our posterity. That is a grievous damage, one that should have never been allowed. Even if marriage is reaffirmed, worldwide, in law that marriage is between men and women only, the institution has been stained by the knowledge of this breach.
I'm afraid the most likely pendulum to swing our way will be a machete wielded by an ISIS executioner. And it will swing very hard.
