Look, I'm very clear on this. I do NOT think Trump is an ideological conservative and I don't think it matters anymore because we are in a post-ideological age. We are in the celebrity age, regardless of ideology.

Even more, I think the nation's situation is so horribly bad that a traditional politician like a Cruz or Walker would have zero chance of making a serious change. They would be too boxed in, too hamstrung by GOPe politics. Trump can go right over that to the public.

Finally, if he and I agree on 6 out of 10 points, and those six are the ONLY ones he works on as pres, I'm a 100% winner. That's better than me agreeing with Bush on 90% of his agenda items and getting almost none of them, or 100% with Cruz and having no chance of getting one.

Exactly bud. It's easy to sit back and blast Rush cause he says something you don't like or you don't like his style. It's something else to get behind the mike and talk to perhaps 20 million people in cars, at home, work and do it for close to 30 years.
Very few people are actually qualified to judge what Rush does.
