When will you realize the GOPe plan is to split the vote so that their chosen one will get the nomination?
If Trump was not in this race the entire GOPe and media would be attacking Cruz as an extreme, far right nut job, the way they always have. Their number one goal would be to take out Cruz and watch as all the others drop out leaving Jeb as the nominee.
Fortunately for everyone, whether you support Trump or not, he announced and has been taking all of the heat initially reserved for Cruz.
No matter who you support you should be thanking Trump for the fact that your guy is still in it.

“Skeletons” not needed, in my opinion.
Just consider the following facts that are already well known:
1. Divorced twice, married thrice — plus how many other liaisons?
2. Famous for running casinos, plus hotels where porn on the TV’s is a big earner.
3. Brags about bribing politicians and manipulating the bankruptcy laws.
4. Now he tells us the Bible is his favorite book, after virtually admitting recently that he doesn’t take his religion seriously.
5. Brags about himself at every opportunity. Great model for our children!
6. Attacks opponents with gratuitously crude and vulgar language. Another great model for our children!
7. Supported abortion, gun control, socialized health, a wealth tax, Nancy Pelosi and Hilary Clinton until recently.
What more is needed for a big negative advertising campaign, especially in the Bible Belt states? Could be interesting over the coming months. Bring out the popcorn and enjoy the show!

It was a joke. This is all fun, but silly.
I agree with most of what you say, but although I too believe that Cruz would make an effective president, I am not convinced he has the “legs” to get there. Carson is by all appearances, a fine man, but like Walker he won’t wear will when the heat is really turned up. And sorry, but I would still today see Trump as #1 and definitely not #5. Paul and Rubio are not even on my radar as remote possibilities. Paul is querky and Rubio is a closet amnesty supporter.

But in all seriousness, I think Uncle Joe shouldn't be underestimated. He would have 200% support from the Obama machine, which makes for a big GOTV effort among the blacks, Hispanics, Asians and MTV addicted youths.
Then it goes almost without saying that Biden will have the unions in his corner, blue collar as well as public employees. In fact, he has always done well with blue-collar whites, at least outside the South.
Last but not least, the MSM and other members of the chattering classes will be working overtime to boost his chances.
How would he do against various GOP opponents? Just too early to say. Maybe he'd lose against almost anybody. But still, I gotta think the contest wouldn't be beanbag.
I’m not sure Walker would carry his home state. His approval rating is currently 39%.
Rubio isn’t a closet amnesty supporter. He is a full throated out in the open amnesty supporter. The only hitch with him is he quibbles with the word “amnesty”, even though that’s exactly what the bill he proposed offers.
Correctomundo DO! Problem here on FR is too many don’t look outside their own sphere. Freepers are not going to elect the next president, but if some of them work at it hard enough, they may keep Trump from winning and give us another 8 years (that is if the country lasts that long) of a Hillary, Biden, Sanders, or one of the other Communists that have taken up residence in the RAT party today. At the very least, Trump is not the latest GOPe “$hit Sandwich,” unlike Dole, W( and his worthless father), McLame and Mittens.
