stephanopoulos grills trump: ‘i still haven’t heard the specifics’
Breitbart ^ | August 23-, 2015 | Pam Key

Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” host George Stephanopoulos grilled Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on his plan to deport the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants.

Exchange as follows:

STEPHANOPOULOS: From the American action conservative group they say the federal government would have to spend roughly $400 billion to $600 billion to address the 11.2 million undocumented immigrants. Each immigrant would have to be apprehended, detained, legally processed and transported to his or her home country, in turn this would shrink the labor force by 11 million and reduce the real GDP by 1.6 trillion dollars. Are you willing to pay that price and where are you going to get the money?

TRUMP: First of all they’re wrong and Jeb Bush is a low energy person and wouldn’t be able to do it. He says they come as an act of love. People coming and many of them you look at what’s happening with the crime, many of them are really causing tremendous problems and they would be out really fast. Immediately.

STEPHANOPOULOS: Mr. Trump. they’re saying $406 billion and would require big government apparatus to take everybody down. If you don’t think those numbers are right how much will it cost and where will you get the money.”

TRUMP: It’s costing us $130 billion a year and that’s peanuts compared to what the real cost is, George. The way we have it now. You have so many illegals. We don’t even know how many. I hear 11 million. I hear 30 million. The government has no idea. We have lost control of our country. We’ve lost control of our borders. The government has no idea how many illegals are here. I’ve been hearing 11 billion for five years then I heard 30. nobody has any idea.”

You crack me up.

This is reality, not an all-nighter where you are polishing a speech to present to the class in SOC 101.

Stephy is flailing with his perseverations about "specifics" and you think he schooled Trump.

LOL it was the other way around.

"It's called management." It ain't a term paper.

The more the inside the beltway media tries to grill Trump, the more stupid they look, as if they could look more than they are already.

It’s easier and cheaper than that.

Prove citizenship or no benefits.

No citizenship=no benefits. No citizenship=pay for public school attendance for the hijos.

The worst of them all would go away without spending much at all. In fact we’d save on benefits.

Trump talks like most of Americans when they are riled up and in a hurry. If you READ an Obama speech that isn’t read from the TOTUS, he would sound the same......many would. Everyone gets the DRIFT of it unless they choose not to.

Can’t we stop for a minute and ask are we being taken for fools?

We indeed have been taken for fools....by the gop-e. They've been lying to us for decades now. Being potentially taken for fools is surely nothing novel to this election cycle. However, it remains to be seen whether Trump is doing that. It is certain though that the gop-e has been doing it for decades.

Trump is an executive, not a politician. His mo is to make decisions and have them implemented by capable managers. If such a manager does not accomplish the task, he'll be fired. That's new to most government employees. That's how the policy will be enforced. Trump will tell someone do get it done by such and such date. If it's not progressing or isn't happening right, that person will be fired.

Doesn’t cost very much to pay a visit to a few employers and enforce I9 noncompliance -—— a few thousands of dollar fines should serve as an excellent example..... then they head home the same way they got here

Trump’s smart enough to not give the media any red meat to run with...it can only hurt him.

Bingo. Self deportation does not cost the taxpayers a dime. When the illegals cannot get hired and cannot get welfare benefits they will go home the same way that they came here. In fact, I am ready to contribute the cost ($24) of a one way Greyhound bus ticket from Los Angeles to Tijuana for the cause.

Has Trump ever said that we have to *deport* 11 million illegals?

I think we could get it cheaper...$1,000 a head. A $250 ride to Textla Guiterrez on the Mexico/Guatemala border if they arena Mexican.

Trump should have said; "we need to pass it before we know what's in it."
