The iconic music and culture magazine is planning to feature Trump on the cover of its next issue, according to two people with knowledge of the matter.
A Rolling Stone spokeswoman declined to comment. The magazine's plans are always subject to change until the issue goes to the printing presses. But the sources said the Trump issue will come out in early September.
The cover is another coup for the Republican presidential candidate, since it often features rock stars and since founder and publisher Jann Wenner is a longtime supporter of Democrats.

A rock band’s lament, by Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show:
COVER OF ROLLING STONE
Well, we’re big rock singers
We’ve got golden fingers
And we’re loved everywhere we go (that sounds like us)
We sing about beauty and we sing about truth
For ten-thousand dollars a show (right)
We take all kinds of pills that give us all kind of thrills
But the thrill we’ve never known
Is the thrill that’ll get ya when you get your picture
On the cover of the Rolling Stone
Chorus
(Rolling Stone) Wanna see my picture on the cover
(Stone)Wanna buy five copies for my mother (yeah)
(Stone)Wanna see my smilin’ face
On the cover of the Rolling Stone (that’s a very, very, good idea)
I got a freaky ole lady name a cocaine Katy
Who embroideries on my jeans
I got my poor old grey haired daddy
Drivin’ my limousine
Now, it’s all designed to blow our minds
But our minds won’t really be blown
Like the blow that’ll get ya when you get your picture
On the cover of the Rolling Stone
Chorus
[Freaky Guitar Break]
(Ah, that’s beautiful)
We got a lot of little teenage blue-eyed groupies
Who do anything we say
We got a genuine Indian Guru
Who’s teaching us a better way
We got all the friends that money can buy
So we never have to be alone
And we keep getting richer but we can’t get our picture
On the cover of the Rolling Stone
Yep, but as long as Trump makes sure it’s a good photo on the cover and it’s not an overt trash job, it’ll be a net plus.
RNC, FNC -> You Can’t Always Get What You Want
All I can say is with RS’s image at this time they better damn well NOT do a hit job on Trump they have enough financial problems as it is right now!!!
agree 10,000%
On Chris Cuomo’s special last week on Trump, the photograph/ graphic was photoshoped to look like he had huge jowls in profile. Almost could not tell it was him.
I can’t believe how many people think Trump fell off the turnip truck just yesterday.
Nothing good can come out of this for Trump.
You know what would be great? If they tried to make him look bad but instead just made themselves look bad. And make Trumps point for him.
His friends Dr Ben Carson , Alice Cooper, Judge Janene. Those who have known him for decades all say the private person is not like the public persona
Cooper compared himself Cooper is married 40 years, sober 30 Born again Christian and one of the regular in Trump foursome
But he is still a rock star
All say the private man is extremely considerate , thoughtful and generous and apparently has quite the sense of humor
Loved his statement about his sister. How as a judge she is brilliant. But very reserved. Making him question if they are from same family
Rolling Stone is not known for their journalistic excellence. If they try to hurt Trump, they are messing with a force they are not used to dealing with.
Love it! Good work, Joe.
As I’ve said before out here: my closest friend was one of Trump’s personal pilots in the early 90s in the “Trump Shuttle” era & he loved working for Trump. Told me he was the best boss he ever worked for in the industry.
Several On here have similar stories Since we are a relatively small percentage of the population there must be hundreds of people who are saying similar comments. Word of mouth has always been the best advertising. These experiences are passed to others Particularly when he is preceived to be getting the short end of straw
Yup. Every time Trump seen my pilot friend at his Atlantic City casinos where he would lay-over between flights playing the slots or whatever he would come over and empty his pockets, which were full of casino chips & hand them over....often it was worth several hundred dollars. Nice gesture, which he never failed to do.
