If he was sick, weakened, malnurished, thin, and haggard, why does that give him a free pass to try and steal from others, shooting someone in the process. Or - he could have sold the AK-47 - including the nine fully loaded 30-rd mags that he “found” - and used the cash to by food, etc. Let me see, IIRC, and AK (semi auto) sells for about $700 U.S. - the 30 rd (steel?) mags are between $18 and $20 U.S. each ... That amount of cash would by a few shopping carts loaded to the top with food.
