Trump is smoking Georgie on ABC now.

I was just listening to him on Face the Nation without incontinent Bob...he was throwing it down in the usual Trump fashion.

Ted Cruz up now.

Cruz is trying to have it both ways on birthright citizenship. He agrees that as a policy matter it should be ended, but that it will take "many, many years" to end it no matter how it is done.

For the first time, Cruz now says that "subject to the jurisdiction" in the 14th Amendment is an issue constitutional scholars disagree on. Some say you need to amend the Constitution while others say that Congress can just pass a statue defining citizenship. Cruz says that whatever route you choose will take "many, many years."

I found this to be disingenuous. Surely, Cruz knows that Congress needs to pass the law first to determine if it will hold up in the courts. David Vitter has introduced a bill in the Senate and Steve King in the House to eliminate birthright citizenship, HR 140. Some should ask Cruz why he has not co-sponsored Vitter's bill.
