When I worked at a nuclear plant, some of the engineering staff lived in a major city about 50-miles distant. Many of them were black. I asked a few why they hadn’t moved their family’s out nearer where they worked.
The answer I got had to do with ties to the neighborhood - church, friends, relatives, community activities, etc.
My family has never been like that, and we always moved where work was available.
Well, my experience is 16 people I called cousin, because calling each other brother and sister caused too many issues with the black neighborhood we were in calling a white guy brother was an issue. They had the same mother and father which both worked. As they grew up, they got jobs.
Some of them have started their own businesses. They don’t owe anyone anything.
They only remained in those parts of town in the two houses they paid off, because it was affordable.
Only one of them seems to not be able to adjust to reality. But he’s not defended by any of us, he’s a criminal through and through and it’s only because of his idiot single parent friends he liked to hang out with. He got out back in I think 2008 and only stayed out of trouble for maybe a month or so?
Thing about it is the lady here is right, but the wise thing is, as my aunt said to everyone, move the !!!! out because nobody at our age or younger who was part of the problem, is going to let you live and thrive.
It’s why these issues are happening today. If you try to do something or go somewhere, you’re bullied. Cowards play along. Wise people move the !!!! out.
Her son got put in jail and she knows what caused it and it was smart of her to keep him in there. He might have winded up in a grave, same thing, she knows what put him in there.
Sick thing is though, she mentions her daughter dying, not a single tear.
She’s right, but she needs to get the !!!! out.
