perhaps the bigger problem is why we allow 50 million people to receive food stamps or whatever.
Perhaps if we can get a new administration to reverse the current regime’s damage to our nation’s economy, some of the 97 million Americas without jobs may get back to work.

I agree with you. I have always agreed that we need a safety net for the truly needy, and that those who cheat are simply the price to be paid.
I no longer think that is the best course. The dependency caused by addiction to social handouts far outweighs the benefit of the truly needy being given help BY THIS PROGRAM.
There needs to be a redesign of a program so that it actually targets the truly needy.
I would favor a nomination process from a town council or a county board of commissioners before anything can go forward. Something that gets taxpayer eyes on the persons who are actually receiving the benefits. I would cut out social workers whose importance depends on the size of their clientele.
