He says he doesnt condone it, and neither do I. But I was in high school once, where we had a real knockout teacher of English. And I dont recall a boy in our class who wouldnt have gone for it had it been offered. But she was evidently wise enough to know the standards of that day, which should be the standard today too, irregardless of the time.
Wise words Doug. I recall my 7th grade English teacher Sue Richardson, fresh out of college, first year as a teacher, looked like Barbara Feldon ('Agent 99') in "Get Smart" but *hotter*, and I had the biggest crush on her, would hang around after class, and I actually had the nerve (or the foolishness) to ask her out to dinner and she didn't upbraid me or rebuke me, she said that "it would be the easiest thing in the world to accept your invitation, but it would not be proper OR legal, but come back after you graduate from high school and over 18, and we'll talk about it, ok?"
That answer alone made me appreciate her all the more now.
And when I went back years later to look her up, she had moved on to another position somewhere else, and never found her again. :(

(I could eat it raw, but why do that when I have a fire.)
