Trump Says Bowe Bergdahl Is A "Traitor," MSNBC Host Chris Hayes Cuts In And Corrects Him
GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump reminds us about deserter Bowe Bergdahl, who the president traded for several prisoners from Guantanamo Bay.
CHRIS HAYES, MSNBC: Just so we're clear here, Sergeant Bergdahl is not being prosecuted for treason, he is prosecuted for desertion. The Army prosecutor is planning on presenting no evidence that six people died in looking for Sergeant Bergdahl.

Sorry but I disagree! It’s this kind of fuzzy thinking that leads us where we are today. The reason Trump is where he is in the polls is because he is speaking the truth. The tangential “idea” that somehow speaking the truth might compromise this guy’s prosecution is a big, big, stretch. Trump is today a private citizen, entitled to say whatever he wants.
Yeah, really. Trade him back. The art of the deal.
Who cares what the charges are? He deserted so that he could join up with the other side. To me, that is treason.
He looks like a Rachel Maddow if she were a real man and didn’t just dress like one.

I avoid reading most stories about famous or infamous individuals. But when one is running for political office, I pay attention. Trump’s a draft dodger and has no standing to comment on a military matter, whatever the matter is.
I believe Obama was a draft dodger so Trump by your criterion is just playing in the same ballpark. In case you might be wondering, I have not made a final decision as to Trump’s qualifications except that he is a very much more US citizen than Obama.

Not being prosecuted as a traitor doesn’t mean one isn’t a traitor - desertion in a war zone may very well apply legally and it surely applies to those of us who care....
