The first couple Apprentice shows were all cast by FremantleMedia - Trump took issue with the casting choices - great personable and interesting people, but not exactly a crop that would fit well in his companies. So he, in agreement with Fremantle (Simon Cowell), created a small group who would churn through the tens of thousands of applications, and submit a list of candidates to the production company for approval.
It worked out so well that this group was hired to handle casting for the Apprentice UK and Apprentice Australia.
I don't think presidents turn countries around, I think presidents who get the government out of the way of the country makes things turn around. And rather than 3 or four guys sitting in a Washington DC hotel room sifting through resumes for positions, I think Trump can easily manage reproducing the company he created and actually fill the many appointed positions that a president typically fills with real, educated people, not the scions of supporters, congressmen, and lobbyists. Even better, if one of them screws up, he can actually fire them, something unthinkable when it is the wife of the nephew to the speaker of the house.
And I think THAT will have a much greater effect on all levels of government, likely for decades to come, as they choose to promote based on ability, not how they are related to someone in Washington.
You make some great points.
I’m struck by two things while reading this thread.
First, how full of crap all the Trump bashers are in claiming Trump supporters worship everything the Donald says. Just looking at this thread puts the lie to that little bit of excuse making for their belligerence.
Second, how all these people keep lamenting all the qualities Trump doesn’t have.
