tariffs are a direct hit on the importing country’s cost of goods purchased and raise prices

So you save a .7 cents on your next Nabisco cookie purchase while million have no jobs in the U.S. This is a fair trade off?

If what we have today is working so well why do quality imported vehicles cost $50,000+ and up? Where is the big saving? Will new vehicles imported from Mexico be better and be real cheap and reasonably priced. Mexico is costing America tens of hundreds of billions due to their total disrespect for our laws and rules. And we should reward them by making them prosper while America declines? Do you think Communist China is our freind who should be rewarded?

Here you are on a so-called conservative site arguing for fairness instead of freedom. FREEPERS, WAKE UP: FREEDOM IS NOT FAIR BUT NEITHER IS SOCIALISM OR WHATEVER ELSE YOU TRY TO REPLACE FREEDOM WITH.

If you put equality ahead of freedom you’ll end up with neither. If you put freedom ahead of equality, you’ll end up with a great deal of both.

The free market economy works on supply and demand. Any company that wants to stay in business and remain competitive will move wherever it finds a higher benefit-to-cost ratio. Nabisco would be stupid and irresponsible if it didn’t take advantage of a better business environment whether it be Mexico, China, or the moon.

Don’t look at and snivel about symptoms, get to the DIRECT ROOT CAUSES. Only when you identify root cause can you come up with effective solutions. Tariffs solve NOTHING because they don’t attack the problem and those pushing tariffs are not addressing the direct causes of the thing they’re supposedly trying to fix.

There’s only ONE culprit in this scenario: THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, with their cost-raising, productivity and job-killing, anti-business minimum wage, union protectionism, and tonnage of useless, dead-end regulations.

The Federal Government is the 800 pound gorilla in the corner of the room that so many seem to not see. The Left and the MSM are certainly going to try to distract you from this beast but we all know it is there and MUST be decisively dealt with.
