Arizona State Senator Kelli Ward, challenging U.S. Senator Sen. John McCain, leads the five-term Washington insider for the first time in a new poll. Her lead stands at nine percent.
Ward was the choice of 45 percent of the registered Arizona voters polled, while McCain only garnered 36 percent. 1,271 of the more than 1,400 voters polled say they intend to vote in the 2016 primary election. Approximately one fifth remained undecided at this early stage of the race.
Independent polling company Gravis Marketing conducted the August 15 poll. It surveyed 844 Republican primary voters and 427 Democratic.
These new McCain versus Ward results vary significantly from May.
Public Policy Polling results then included 600 Arizona voters, 300 marked as Republican primary voters. In that early poll a Ward-McCain matchup gave Ward 31 percent and McCain 44 percent with 25 percent undecided.

Donald Trump sought to recruit Arizona Treasurer Jeff DeWit to run against U.S. Sen. John McCain during his recent campaign stop in Phoenix.
That’s all well and nice, but what’s the numbers like when its a three way race including Meluskey?
I do tend to believe that women are generally more liberal than men. And I’m female. But give me a true conservative woman every time who cannot be distracted. Mamma grizzly time. I don’t know about Kelli but would be willing to give her a look.

Kelli Ward is my local rep. We really don’t want to see her go because she is so good as a conservative for Mohave County but we understand her wanting to do more for her country. Kicking McCain’s butt would be the icing on the cake.

I just don’t know. I can’t tell the fakers from the real conservatives in Arizona.

Thanks. We own some property in Arizona and on two occasions we’ve changed our voter registration to Arizona instead of Texas so we could vote against McCain. Hard to get a read on some of the candidates since we don’t live there most of the time though so I do rely on info from FR a lot.

I did say all else being equal. If that’s the case, a man in a position of such power is more appropriate.
Women do tend to be more emotionally driven in critical decision making.
