I found excellent "housebreaking" instructions online.
You MUST get a crate (cage), it's the only way to housebreak (it might seem cruel, but it's not). Cover it with a blanket at night and put toys in there for him to play with, it will make him feel secure. Take him out first thing in the morning and he should be pretty much housebroken in six or eight more weeks (I've raised A LOT of puppies).
