Bush tries to do what Trump did. Tries to copy him. The difference is Trump stuck to his guns and said "Nah, I'll say anchor babies.". Bush says "Well, I didn't say it, I said it was commonly used term".
I don't want a President who vacillates and folds on an encounter with idiot reporters. Can you imagine how he would vacillate and fold on tough issues?
