I’ve been saying Trump/Cruz all along. As much as I like Cruz, I think he’d be better as VP for a while getting some serious experience. Trump’s can do attitude and optimism is just the thing for this go round, and with Cruz as co pilot, I don’t think anybody could stand a chance, even if they have to run 3rd party. With Trump out of the picture, I don’t think anybody could really challenge the establishment. So he has to stay, and Cruz is the obvious choice for VP. Who else has already been challenging the status quo for a couple of years like Cruz? And Trump should be looking for someone else who sees things from a similar viewpoint...That ain’t Walker or Rubio, Carson is too laid back, he likes Carly but I doubt that would happen, I don’t look for her to have a lot of staying power anyway. Cruz is tailor made for the part. And every bit as smart as Trump is...I won’t say smarter, that’s a toss up...
I still think 3rd party is a possibility, the GOP establishment is still trying to come up with a way to get Trump outta there, and I have no doubt they’ll cheat to do it too. And remember he still hasn’t ruled it out, only saying he’d stay republican if they treat him fairly. If they cheat to yank the rug out from under Trump, look out 3rd party and with the following he’s already built, I think all the stuffed suits are dead wrong, he can still win. He’s also still hogging all the media time too. That counts for a lot. More people every day are wondering what all the hoopla is about, from every party too.
I’m also wondering if that was the real reason behind the Trump/Cruz powwow not long ago. Neither one is talking, trying to pass it off as just a friendly get together for lunch...too quiet, I smell something going on behind the scenes. Cruz has been specific about not attacking, while whitewashing it as not attacking any republican...Both played down the meeting...so what’s up?
