We have a good trio of candidates: Trump, Cruz and Carson.
Yes you are smart as hell...but that isn't enough.
Call Trump and offer to fix healthcare.
That's the ticket.
They’ll end up complementing each other rather than competing with each other.

Carson, even if you win The Apprentice, that does not make you The Donald. Remember that.
He ain’t getting far with his past abortion history. No pass by saying he was not involved in the abortion and selling/buying of dead babies, just in using their remains.
Intellectual endeavors?
Trump’s more up on foreign affairs and major domestic issues than the very pleasant Dr. Carson.
And Trump certainly isn’t stupid, so Carson should cut the intellectual preening.
Carson doesn’t have the huge personna that allows Trump to basically stick it to the press, the GOPe, and the Democrats.
Carson isn’t an economic wizard. He hasn’t run a massive corporation or had keep the balance sheet in line.
He hasn’t had to make the deals Trump has.
We need someone to help us get a handle on the debt, gut it back, and bludgeon the media to get things done.
Carson isn’t that man.
I think there’s plenty to like Carson about, but he’s not the full package.

I’m sure there were a few good guys besides Reagan in later 1979 and early 1980. Reagan was the guy.
Now Trump is.
There’s a juicy Senate Seay in Maryland calling Carson’s name. Why doesn’t he run for it?

Well, as a neurosurgeon, cutting and intellectual preening probably go hand-in-hand.
Carson also hasn’t any experience with international trade and international negotiations. I think he’s very much a good man who would have a role to play, but he’s not qualified to be President.
Trump voters aren’t going to Carson.
I think Carson might play an enormous role in a Trump administration (particularly in healthcare), but his chances are nil otherwise.

I also find it interesting that there is so little opposition on FR to Trump because he “isn’t conservative” or “isn’t conservative enough”. I wonder why that is.
Love Carson, but Trump’s votes are not going his way.
Carson is smart enough to know that he will never be POTUS . If he is truly attempting to take support away fron Trump he is working for the establishment .
Exactly. Carson doesn’t quite realize he’s benefiting from Trump’s slipstream. The public is tired of the professional political class and that’s why he’s seeing a boost. He’s obviously an intelligent, decent man, but that’s not sufficient qualification to be POTUS, and certainly not sufficient to clean up the mess that Obama will leave in January 2017.
