I have read several articles that seem to indicate S.Korean intelligence has more reason to believe than usual that the North Korean government is in trouble. No telling what the Norks will do if they really feel their slave state might implode.
There is always the risk that the NorKs will go too far, either out of bravado or due to a wish to commit national suicide, I'd like to think that regime change in North Korea is only one bullet away, fired into the back of Kim Jong Un's fat effin' head.
Certainly there must be one North Korean military officer willing to step up and do the job if given the opportunity.

These people are so used to subservience, I doubt there is. The threat of starvation may play a part too.
