Charlie Gasparino reports on Fox News that GOP donors have told him that both Rubio and Walker are planning an ad assault on Donald Trump after labor day in order to ‘reset the primary’. This is sooner than they would have planned to do this, Gasparino says, but it’s becoming critical for them: Gasparino says they aren’t coordinating, but I suspect their donors who leaked this to him are certainly coordinating. After all their money is on the line.
I don’t put much stock in debates just acknowledging that some do.
His been having newsconfeeences first. Explained the other evening those who can’t get in because of limited space can file stories early and then do whatever they do (laughter) They don’t have to wait aaround till after the event

If true, I’m done with Walker. Let’s see. I know Walker was eyeing the busboy for VP.
I’d say Rubio is more of the lightweight. What Walker did in Wisconsin is quite impressive, though as a candidate he is solid but stolid.
See, that actually makes me nervous. Evil or agenda driven doofuses smiling or grinning like Cheshire cats seems off to me. But this whole Trump thing seems off to me that he is now our big conservative or big American hero. I think personally the only way I am remotely comfortable with him as President is a smart, Christian constitutionalist like Cruz hopefully keeping him straight as VP.
That works now when the media loves to see the Republicans disrupted by an outsider and have their apple cart upset. They’re happy to cover Trump. But in the general election, the media is going to figure it out. They’ll limit Trump’s coverage and even more selectively quote him to make him look bad. He’s going to need to run a full-throated campaign with all the advertising and not take any shortcuts.

I predict that if these two squishy RINOS do so, it will backfire on them. Walker and Rubio are both sliding downhill with Conservatives already and attacking Trump and/or Cruz will only speed their decline.
This is playing out like Big Brother or Survivor.

And so what if they try to reduce coverage after the nomination? Gee, then he's stuck spending part of his $3 BILLION on ads, which crushes Cankles or any other goofy Dem. so he has them either way---if they give him free coverage to "knock out" a "real" or "pure" Republican (which itself is BS), he just banks the money now.

I’m praying for a Trump/Cruz ticket. Trump serves one term as Pres, with Cruz being elected after that. I’m praying.

Cruz, in allying himself to Trump, so to speak, is playing an intelligent, strategic game, IMO.
