I guess the charge arises from the fact that the blacks were running away at the time of the shooting. My opinion being once in the house by means of a break in the burglar is a dead man. A person lawfully in possession of a house should have the right to shoot the intruder whether he is running away or not(fleeing felon rule). The authorities are actually favoring the criminal element by such conduct as exhibited in this article.

I tend to agree. I can see the word getting out for in house invasions and burglaries, when caught just to make a slow turn and slowly get out. No crime committed.
This will plead out. Prosecutor isn’t going to find a jury who will convict. No way.
