Okay, that’s not what I predicted you would say - but I agree 100% on anchor babies, and it shows how pussified our politics on the right has become over the years (thank you establishment) that no one’s made this a big issue before now. There are Constitutional challenges to the anchor baby program, but this is issue that must be addressed. It can be done.
I think the violence and criminal activity issue is a bit over blown, but damn, it’s touched a nerve. The Steinle murder was tragic, but so well timed for Trump politically.
My main problem with Trump’s plan is that: A: it is comprehensive and the border should be a stand alone issue, period, as a first step, and without waiting until we noodle around with all the other stuff and B: his deportation ideas are not only changing daily, but his latest written plan is not workable and muddy. Just not gonna happen.
But he’s brought this issue to the fore like no one else.
