That’s what I thought. Unless you start writing EO’s, it’s the job of the Legislative or Congressional Branch, not Executive.
Mr Trump is expected to fix all of the past legislation that we abhor when it is not something he can legally do. He can negotiate trade agreements, he can insist/require that laws on the books be adherred to, he can influence congress, he can rally the people but he can not nor will not tear up existing laws. Laws we don’t like need to be readdressed, not expect him to FIX it.
Bully pulpits mean something in a process like this.
Is this "news" to you?
Huh?
Your response makes no sense.
Yes, the President CAN direct his/her Justice Department to take on affirmative action. When cases arise that have to do with affirmative action and the Federal government, such as affirmative action in contract hiring, etc, a President that opposes affirmative can take it to court and try to get the law struck down. A President who is against affirmative action can also have his departments write friend of the court briefs to bolsters other litigation against affirmative action.
Unfortunately, Trump just said in this interview he supports affirmative action. Which means he isn’t going to work to eliminate it.
It would take a President to sign the ENDA. Trump seems to support it. That isn’t good. This is a leftist piece of legislation designed to deprive traditional, religious Americans of their ability to control who works for them. It gives special rights to homosexuals.
It’s like you didn’t even read what I previously posted, just went on with your rant.
