How would Trump “get rid of” affirmative action or EDNA? And this is a serious question, how would he be able to do it.
Trump can’t, Congress can’t. Of themselves.
This is a “We The People” thing. If Trump can help “We The People” believe that they can, then they probably are right.
That’s what populist means.
Well that's an easy one.
A President that is against affirmative action directs his or her Justice Department along with other agencies to argue against it in court when a case comes up that they can impact - whether that be joining specific lawsuits or writing friend of the court briefs opposing affirmative action.
As to EDNA, that isn't law. It is proposed legislation that every conservative I know of opposes. Maybe Kasich is for it, but none of the others. This is a particularly repulsive proposal that would strip employers of 15 or more employees from "discriminating" against gay/lesbian/trans/name your deviancy in the workplace. Basically it would mean traditional, religious companies couldn't terminate even the most obnoxious homosexuals without risk of lawsuits.
