Here is the response I mentioned to you from Buck Sexton. Given all his previous comments re: Trump, this is quite surprising. I must say, I agree:
Trump’s Counterpunch to Illegal Immigration-
Say what you will about him or his record- Trump’s published, official policy on immigration is a strong statement in favor of American interests, rule of law, and the preservation of our polity.
Before you judge one way or the other, I suggest you to read it in full- and then ask yourself-
“Aren’t these the immigration policies I support?”
“Would I be thrilled if any other GOP candidate held them?”
Whether Trump is the man to implement them or not- this policy document is a good starting point for the GOP going forward.
Trump is serving right now as the rallying flag for popular opinion.
Sometimes I wonder if politicians fight for the reason that tomcats fight. Just because.
