Funny about FreeRepublic....over the years the site has grown more valuable to me. Because the concept of online advertising might seem a capitalistic good thing, it drives me nuts. Every time you sign into a site you got to wait many minutes for their godawful commercials to show up. Sometimes the advertiser doesn’t do their job and the site just freezes up, sometimes for days at a time.
FreeRepublic has the easiest, most pain free way to view current events, converse with other like-minded people, free from the virus’ that also attack from those ad-filled horrific sites.
So contribute to FreeRepublic before they start getting advertising that will render this site awful.

These 2-month long FReepathons are taking a toll, not only on Jim, --- typing is getting more difficult for him --- but also on Jim's FReepathon Team: (we're down to bare bones = primarily 3 or 4 of us).
FReepers ALWAYS come through and we all know this economy sux, but it would sure be helpful were our wonderful, awesome, loyal donors to make their donations during the first month!
