When the discovery was made that Clinton had a private server in violation of government laws, why wasn’t the server seized as evidence immediately?

As I understand it, it was only through Trey Gowdy's committee investigation that the server was discovered. So for that I give Gowdy credit. But, as I also understand it, Gowdy did not immediately subpoena the server. So for that I take away the credit I just gave Gowdy.

This breakthrough didn’t happen in Silicon Valley or at MIT. It happened, of all places, in Chappaqua, NY. And the person responsible isn’t even a computer scientist, but a lawyer and politician: Hillary Clinton.

Hillary at the controls in the server......

If the justice system does not indict this woman the support for Trump will intensify.

Her sense of entitlement has been fed by a compliant media and a gang of yes men and women. What she is today is the product of some three decades of people kissing her butt. This is why she has no skills when it comes to relating to people who question her. If she developed any earlier in life they’ve long submerged by now.

After reading the article i can understand his point but after her reaction to the Times of all venues when they said the inquiry is into her i can understand the media’s reluctance as well.
So two points come to mind. First shes a candidate for president and no matter how much we despise her she is for now a powerful figure with powerful friends. Shes the wife of a former president. Careful language from law enforcement is pretty much mandated by those facts.
Second the media. We saw them report the negatives and her lash back. This pussy footing around the issue has to be killing them. We should be thankful it’s playing out this way because you can bet your bottom dollar once its announced as a criminal investigation they will be all over her. While the reporters may have their own leftward bias they are absolutely chaffing at being told how to go about their business and will drag her down like a pack of baying hounds when given the chance.

My guess is she’s doing her best to obfuscate, delay, and plausibly deny to make indicting her and ultimately convicting her that much harder. Still, for all the clout she has, she doesn’t hold any office. She’s not operating from that sort of base. Her tide is ebbing. If they’re going to indict her, she’s at her weakest now.

Turning over a wiped server to the FBI is prima facie evidence of destruction of evidence.

True and that may be why it was done. Would she be better off fighting a single destruction of evidence charge, or turning over a partially scrubbed server and facing multiple counts of more serious crimes involving improper use of classified material on top of multiple destruction of evidence charges?

Any good defense attorney would walk all over that in a sec. Gotta have evidence that there ever was anything on the server to begin with ... might have been used for a doorstop ... doubt is all that is needed to sway a jury.

True but a server is mated to one or more other machines called clients. Did Hillary really sit down before the server to do her email, or did she access the server from one, or more client machines? Same for Huma. As far as I know, she and Hillary don't live together... yet. So, from which array of client machines did Huma access the server?

My point is any delay over three minutes is much too long.

I could be wrong, but I seem to recall that Gowdy said that his committee didn’t have authority to subpoena. And, IIRC he said the congress did - if that’s the case, blame Boehner et al. I think that the DOJ also had the power to do so, but we all know that Holder was never going to do/support that.

It’s got me wondering, where was the IG for State the past few years or more and why weren’t they reporting on this. Also, Did Hillary send or receive email from any members in the House or Senate? If so, why did no one notice that her email address was not a .gov address? Perhaps if there were such email, they were only with Dims and they didn’t care and/or were complicit in the cover up.

Did none of the Ambassadors, including Stevens in Libya, under her watch send email to her and/or receive email from her? Did she only use text messages for them?

Don’t be so sure, there are a lot of people involved in the shenanigans of Bengahzi,Egypt, and Syria.
Like running guns from Libya to Syria, getting Stevens killed.
Hillary can do a lot of talking,so don’t think she won’t get away.with this

“where was the IG for State the past few years or more and why weren’t they reporting on this”....

My understanding is that Hillary Clinton did not appoint a State Dept Inspector General for her entire tenure at State. She left the position open.

I wonder why?

That requires one to accept that the Obama Justice Department will bring charges against Clinton. I can not make that leap.

Imagine an official group (analogous to the current administration) at the time of Benedict Arnold's betrayal of his country knew the nature and several criminal details concerning his activities yet gave him safe harbor, shielding him as best they could from prosecution of his crimes.

Would we not say that official group's leading members were complicit with Benedict Arnold's crimes after the fact if not during as well?

It seems to me if the US DOJ corruptly can't see fit to prosecute an obvious, national-security-damaging case of treason (receiving funds from foreign governments and contributors with whom classified secrets have been shared--if true) out of its own allegiances with the perpetrator, that we no longer have a government that represents US THE PEOPLE.

I strongly suspect that Hillary Clinton has committed multiple acts of treason.

Then, to cover her treasonous acts, she has subsequently committed multiple felonies.

I do not believe that she has committed multiple felonies to hide other felonies, but rather, to cover treason.

She ought to be indicted and, if the evidence supports the charges, imprisoned. If treason is provable, then she should suffer the penalty for treason.
