You and I have discussed this before. Freepers thought DuMond was a victim of the Clinton machine back in that time. (I provided you a link).
Some people refuse to hear. They must attack because they see him as a threat. He is a good speaker and thinker and they fear he is “taking away” votes from their candidate. That of course is nonsense. But they don’t care. They would rather smear and hate that actually listen and debate.
You are doing a great job presenting facts and staying calm. These haters start making me mad very quickly.

Really.. Rolls-Eyes... walks out SLAMS door..
(just kidding)...
It appeares to me and I believe to others that you have portrayed DuMond as a victim and that Huckabee did a good deed by releasing him. I believe you know and knew what the situation and outcome was but avoided it. I provided what was left untold. Huckabee released a rapist who went on to rape again and murder.
No hate here, just providing accurate information regarding Huckabee where the story has been glossed over and the results of his bad judgement were ignored.
Read the entire thread. Huckabee was cleaning up after the Clinton Crime Family and everyone on FR at that time expected Huckabee to do what he did. Any decent person would have.
If you want to place blame on anyone besides DuMond for what he did after that, it goes to Bill Clinton and the monsters who tortured DuMond.
You continue to use this on every Huckabee thread, it's time for you to discuss issues instead of running this silly gotcha routine.
If this is all you've got, then I'm right, Huckabee is a very decent man willing to take risks to do the right thing. I admire that and so should you.
I only complete the story when you use this to show Huckabee’s compassion without finishing the story, I don’t usually comment on Huckabee threads. I don’t support him but I’ve never said I wouldn’t vote for him IF he were to get the nomination but I’m not going to help him get it. Knowing some of the family of one of the true victims in the DuMond matter I do get irritated at seeing him protrayed as the victim, I don’t approve of his being castrated or treated unfairly and those who did it should receive their due but releasing him was not justice. DuMond was what he was, a sadistic rapist and potential murderer who was released to rape again and live up to his potential as a murderer. He was never going to be anything but a threat to society.
Correction
“I only complete the story when you use this to show Huckabees compassion without finishing the story,”
Not completely true I had forgotten that on one thread I asked “What about Wayne DuMond?” before you mentioned him. I shouldn’t have done that but you did respond with only part of the story. I don’t usually open the threads about Huckabee.
If you bring up the story, then you provide the links to prove your story.
I’m not a mind reader.
The article you posted I believe stopped at 1991 and didn’t tell all the story. I probably should have stated a long time ago but probably didn’t realize it until today is what bothers me about this is that it appears to be an attempt to put a positive spin on a tragic situation. I suspect you didn’t know all the details. I don’t have any animus towards you or Governor Huckabee.

We don't keep people in prison for what they will do in the future.
His bad decision shouldn’t have a positive spin put on it and the results of that decision ignored.
Only liberals think other people are responsible for liberal crimes. Are you one of those?
Did you read about DuMond’s priors. He should have not been released one second before his time was up. I believe Governor Huckabee was at least partly responsible for DuMond’s release and that was a bad decision. Just keep campaigning for Huckabee and posting articles about his compassion for the likes of DuMond and see how that helps him. I don’t recall saying anyone but DuMond was responsible for his crimes but I believe it’s a liberal thing to be overly compassionate and let those like DuMond out of prison early. I don’t believe the prison system exists to rehabilitate or punish, I believe it exist to protect society from people like DuMond.
It looks to me like Huckabee just tried to make the sentence MATCH the sentence of others. Clearly that guy was an animal. Huckabee in no way advocated for his release. Had the man not received parole (he should not have), he would not have been able to commit the crime because he would have still been in prison.
If you are saying Huckabee should have known that reducing the sentence down from more than a lifetime of years to basically a lifetime of years would result in the man’s parole, then ok. I would need to know the data on that issue. But lots of monsters eligible for parole never get it. See Charles Manson. It does seem that sentence terms should match. I am not an expert on that. I do not think Huckabee is to blame for the parole. He is to blame for trying to make the sentence match others when perhaps this man deserved to be treated differently. That I do not know. NO ONE WANTED A BAD RESULT. Huckabee is not an advocate for letting violent criminals out of jail so they can slaughter people. In my view, people are manipulating this tragedy because they do not like Huckabee for other reasons.
Whether you view this as a bad decision or not, I view his intervention as a bad decision and as it turned out it was a bad decision. Donna has brought this up at least three times and trying to put a positive spin on this tragic situation without mentioning the repercussions of DuMond’s early release. There is nothing positive about any of this and it should probably be forgotten, not brought up again and again as a positive without looking at the end result she has been apprised of the outcome at least twice by me but chooses to post her puff piece and ignore the consequences of DuMond’s early release. I read the papers and having connections to Forrest City and the Stevens family we kept up with this. You are correct in your appraisal of Wayne DuMond. Governor Huckabee is not on my short list for President but I have no ax to grind with him. I’ve stated my reasons for objecting to that posted comment.
I’m sorry I neglected to send the following to donna when I originally posted it, I referred to her in it.

I did not bring it up, you did. Shame on you.
Who do you support for President?
I apologize I did bring it up, my mind apparently went back to the last time you posted about DuMond the Clemmons post must have triggered something in my thought process. I wish you had called me on that sooner. I support Senator Cruz, he is the only one on my short list, I have no problems with Governor Huckabee. I believe that Senator Cruz has many qualities talents, skills and attributes that we are in dire need of at this time. I apologize again for bringing it up, it’s a subject I prefer to not discuss.
