I agree with you sir - and that's part of "THE TRUMP EFFECT" - both his hardest line proponents and hardest line detractors are making it personal and emotional. The irony is? While EE is no Rush, time might exonerate EE on this point, at least to a degree.

No, the irony is that (and people STILL don't get this), that every time someone does something stupid like this it gives Trump more advertising on their station/blog/newspaper, and more Twitter ammo, and it continually feeds his free advertising machine that is like nothing in history.

Come on---here is the richest candidate BY FAR in the race and he has to spend virtually zero on advertising because of garbage like this. If I was a Trump opponent, "blood would be coming out of my eyes" over Erickson because he is just feeding Trump's strength. Course, I personally love it.

I guess the degree is whether an ousted Trump leaves behind a new boldness in the remaining candidates.

Is the so-call Trump Effect about the issues (not yet policies) he's putting front and center that the other candidates would otherwise have run away from, or is it the "tone" of no-nonsense non-PC non-apologetic back-at-you engagement, or both, that has people energized?

If the remaining candidates revert back to focus-group tested safe pablum that moves and excites nobody, then the terrorists will have won.
