Voters of America: Get ahold of yourselves, please.
I know youre irrational and seething with anger. I know this because I keep reading about it, in every somber piece of punditry about Donald Trump or Bernie Sanders or whats going to drive the 2016 campaign. I hear it on my Twitter feed and in the fundraising emails that batter me all day long.
Apparently the entire country got hit with some kind of gamma ray, and now everybodys all huge and green and hurling campaign buses willy-nilly across the highway.
Except that when I meet American voters, they dont generally seem so unhinged to me.

“Whether you like him or hate him, Trump helped lift the veil on whats really going on, if not by his message, at least by the attempted suppression of it.”
That’s really the crux of the matter, isn’t it?
From what I have seen Trump is a one issue candidate and the author is right his main appeal is emotional.
Illegal immigration does hit a nerve. But it is not the only issue that the Republican Party needs to deal with.
Then we have to deal with the problem that Trump is not a conservative and that he was not always anti-illegal. He has been a big Democrat donor and specifically a big Clinton donor.
Trump is not a natural conservative and he should not be the Republican candidate and from my observation of him over the years he is a better fit in the Democrat Party.
I think it is great that Trump is making illegals a major issue in the news but it is not the single issue that is going to win the presidency. The last time that a single issue won that presidncy that I can think of is 1860.
Well, no matter what happens in the election, this genie will not go back in the bottle. We have interesting times in store for us.
What kind of name is “bai”?
For decades all I’ve read is how angry the Left is - angry, seething, enraged, etc., as a justification for righteousness. Now though, being angry is suddenly an epithet for insanity, because conservatives are the ones who are angry.
Screw the hypocritical Left - buncha lying, manipulative bastards.
Looks like the article is trying to convince us that what drives us isn’t what really drives us - it’s all a case of us not understanding what pisses us off and if we come to our senses we will start ignoring what we consider to be our core values and principles. I guess the guy took a psychology class sometime in the past and decided to see if he could pop a pellet to the “test subjects” to try to make them toe the line he would have us toe.
