My personal feeling is that Trump will not stay in the race, but he will serve a VERY valuable and important role by making other R candidates wake up and see how much impact his points are having with the typical American voter.

Huge cut in pay
So much DC BS that he would have to put up with, even with what he brings to the table.
Now, if he wants to, he can hop in his own 757 and go do anything he wants.... for as long as he wants. That’s his lifestyle. As Prez, he can’t.
As a businessman, he doesn’t see himself ripped to shreds on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, etc. every night. As Prez, it would be EVERY NIGHT.
Now, he is into, OR OUT OF, whatever he wants. As Prez, you are dragged into everything.
Right now, he is getting by on some good ideas... and “volume.” The problem of being Prez was described by Ronald Reagan. “If you are President, you never have an easy decision. Every easy decision is made 5 levels lower than your office. Every decision a President has to make is always the choice between two bad actions, hopefully one a little less worse than the other. As President, every decision I had to make angered 49% of some very important people.”
No one ever thanks the President for what he does that is right. They only bitch about what they don’t like. That would not wash well with Mr. Trump.
Right now, Trump, in his private life, and business life can avoid those situations. As Prez, he couldn’t.
Bottom line, I think he would love being Prez for about 3 months, and hate it for the rest of his term.... and he is smart enough to know that.
Just me thoughts, but if Mr. Trump drives the field right, or even be able to drive it far right by “waking up” the voters, and the other candidates, which may be his underlying intention, he will have performed a VERY valuable service.
